From Waste to Wonder
How BarleySkin Is Made
A simplified, efficient process that transforms plant-based byproducts into high-performance materials

STEP 1
Collection of BSG
Brewer’s Saved Grain (BSG), the barley residue left after beer production, is collected directly from breweries as a raw material.

STEP 2
Cleaning & Drying
BSG is cleaned to remove impurities and gently dried to preserve its fibrous structure for further processing.

STEP 3
Nano-sizing
The dried BSG is finely ground into nano-scale powder to enhance texture, consistency, and material performance.

STEP 4
Blending with Water-borned PU
The nano-sized BSG powder is blended with waterborne polyurethane to form a flexible, durable bio-based leather matrix.

STEP 5
Coating on Base Textile
The blend is coated onto a pre-pared recycle textile base or biobased textile base.

STEP 6
Texture & Color Finishing
Final surface is finished with textures and colors for luxury appeal.
🌀 A circular process designed with innovation, efficiency, and the planet in mind.
