Apples are high in cellulose, and these natural cellulose fibers have tremendous potential as textiles. It is a sustainable material that can reduce agricultural waste and replace virgin resources. In addition, it requires a high level of technology to remove sugar from apples to become fabric, and VEGATEX has a patent for this.

Collecting Apple Pomace

From the beverage industry, the leftover apple pomace is collected, washed and dried.

STEP 2 (PU+)

Extraction and Transformation

Apple pomace is extracted into a highly concentrated liquid and then converted into a fine powder for easy mixing and storage.

STEP 3 (PU+)

Mixed with Water-based Polyurethane

Water-based Polyurethane and apple pomace powder are mixed for durability and strength.

STEP 1 (Backing)
Cellulose from 
Wood Pulp

Cellulose is extracted from washed wood pulp and then cleaned.

STEP 2 (Backing)
Pulling Out Thin Thread

Celluose is put into a spinning machine to pull out a thin thread.

STEP 3 (Backing) Lyocell Backing Completion

It turns yarn into lyocell fabric.
